Initiative Groups

"Equipping members to thrive in our business community"

The Chamber's 2017 Strategic Plan contains six working groups focusing on different aspects of chamber organization and operations. Members of each committee represent chamber member businesses and also community representatives. 2017 President Mike Nielsen of Sherman Insurance monitors the progress of each initiative group. Chamber members may join the efforts of any of these initiatives at any time. Short term commitments are available.  Please contact the Chair to join a committee.

Board of Directors

We are here to support your business.

More people working together can make more things happen. The Delano Area Chamber of Commerce (DACC) is a member-driven business organization. The Board of Directors consists of 9 very involved and driven people. They are to be commended for their leadership and initiative. Perhaps what makes them most valuable is that they are VOLUNTEER leaders. Four or five new members are elected every year in October. The ninth director is the Past President. Each November, the outgoing board and newly-elected board members meet together to develop a Strategic Plan for the following year and set long range goals. New officers are elected by the new board. The 2017 Board of Directors, and their contact information, is found below. Strategic Plan

 

The chamber's strategic plan is the process for growing and guiding our chamber. The plan is started by the new and retiring board members in November of each year. Ideas are then brainstormed, goals are set, and action is taken by each committee throughout the year to carry out the strategic plan.
