Delano 4th of July Celebration
Delano's Fourth of July Celebration includes the oldest and largest Fourth of July Parade in the State of Minnesota!
Check out the Delano 4th of July Website for more details.
The Parade is always July 4 and begins at 10:30 a.m.
The Parade route begins at the High School on Elm Ave; runs west on Elm Ave to 3rd Street; south on 3rd Street to Railroad Ave; west on Railroad Ave to River Street; and north on River St to the Park at the north end of town.
The Parade route is closed to traffic as early as 8:30 a.m. on the day of the parade.
The celebration is usually a four-day event which includes a carnival, the Parade, the Coronation of the Delano Royal Ambassadors, Baseball and Softball Tournaments, a 5K Run, live music (never a cover charge!), dancing and, of course, fireworks.
The fireworks are always on the last day of the celebration, which may or may not be July 4.
The Fourth of July Celebration Committee is made up of members of the Delano Athletic Club, Delano Lions, Delano Sportsmen’s Club, Delano Jaycees, Delano Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Delano American Legion.
